Privacy Policy

I consent to the collection of the information listed on this form by Dunedin Archery Club Inc (DAC) for the purpose of club membership. I understand and agree that this information is also used for subsequent affiliation with national and international sporting organisations. This includes but is not limited to World Archery, Sport NZ, Archery NZ, South Island District Archery Association (SIDAA), World Crossbow Shooting Association (WSCA), and the New Zealand Olympic Committee.  


I also consent to any information being passed to any organisation which the DAC is obliged to provide to if such action is required by NZ law or any order issued by a competent authority. Competent authorities include but are not limited to the Courts of NZ or governmental departments. 


As part of the DAC’s affiliation with Archery NZ, we will need to pass on identifying information about club members to Archery NZ for the purpose of becoming an Archery NZ member. I also understand that in accepting Archery NZ’s offer to become an ANZ member I am required to consent to Archery NZ privacy policy, terms and conditions. Additionally, I understand that if I reject ANZ’s offer that the DAC has no responsibility over the maintenance of the information ANZ has as they are governed by their own policy. 


I further consent to this information being used as appropriate to contact me regarding club news and events. In addition, if I (or I on behalf of a minor) consent to being photographed by the DAC, the purposes will be relating to the benefit of the sport of archery, the Club and for funding. Any and all photographs shall remain property of the DAC unless the Club relinquishes that right. 

DAC may pass on anonymised data to the other organisations for publicity purposes and/or funding to aid the club in further endeavors. These organisations shall generally be the media, charitable organisations, any previously mentioned sporting organisations, any governmental department which includes the national, regional and municipal governments. All actions taken here are to be for the benefit of the sport of archery and/or the Club. 

I acknowledge my right to access and, if necessary, correct this information. DAC will not give any personally identifiable information to any third party without your prior consent and will take all reasonable steps to protect the information collected. Should any breach occur, the Club shall notify you and investigate the matter. 

All actions taken by the Dunedin Archery Club shall be done according to the Privacy Act 2020, any other relevant NZ law and shall remain under the exclusive jurisdiction of the NZ courts and NZ law. Any and all interpretation of this privacy policy shall be interpreted in accordance with NZ law. Nothing shall hinder any individual who feels the Club has violated their rights under this policy or NZ law from complaining either to the Club Privacy Officer or any competent NZ authority who has jurisdiction or any authority mentioned in the Privacy Act 2020.
